Children's ministry is one of the critical ministries in the body of Christ thatneeds thefirstattention, tender and thorough teaching. When a good job is done in thisministry we are assured of our future. "Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord..." - They are an inheritance derived from the Lord. They are bestowed by him as really as success is in building a house, or in guarding a city.

Goal

The Makhonza Young church goals are to:

• Develop the character and integrity in our children form a very young age. “Train up a child in a way that he should go and when He is older he will not forget it...”
• To build a foundation that is based upon the Word of God.
• To preach the gospel of Salvation to the young children at an early age to reach the Parents who do not know Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
• To create a safe haven for the abundant, unloved and live in dysfunctional homes.

Mission

It is to introduce Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour to the young church children in order to create a relationship between themselves and Jesus that will govern their lives to ensure success and world transformation.

The values that the Young Church ministry adhere to, create the acronym Makhonza. These values are instilled in the children and believe that God will give them the wisdom to live by them. The idea is that everything which we value, or which we desire, is a gift from God and is to be received as from him and to be acknowledged as his gift. "And the fruit of the womb is his reward..." - Or rather, "a reward;" that is, they are of the nature of a reward for a life of devotion to God; they are among the blessings which God promises, and an evidence of his favour.
