Prison ministry
The mandate for the Prison Ministry is clear in God's Word, both by scripture and by the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, Isaiah 42:7 "to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house". The prison Ministry is made up of a team of volunteers who have been called by God to go minister to inmates. Understanding the value of one soul to God, each and every Sunday a Word is prepared and prisoners are given hope, the hope that is found in the Word of God. The Even while dying on Calvary's cross, Jesus took time to reach out in love and concern to a prisoner (Luke 23:43); and Hebrews 13:3 "Regard prisoners as if you were in prison with them. Look on victims of abuse as if what happened to them had happened to you". |
